FAQ

Owning a BODY20

What makes BODY20 different from other fitness franchises?

BODY20 pairs FDA-cleared EMS technology with 1-on-1 and small-group coaching, so members get a full-body strength workout in 20 minutes with no heavy weights. Short sessions and a compact studio mean more members per hour and a lean operating model.

Who is the core member?

Busy professionals and parents short on time, adults investing in longevity, people coming back from a break or an injury, and athletes chasing an edge. Sessions are coached and intensity starts low, so no prior training experience is needed.

What does it cost to open a BODY20?

Item 7 of our Franchise Disclosure Document lists the total investment range, including the franchise fee, EMS equipment, build-out, marketing and working capital. Minimum requirements are $150K liquid capital, $750K net worth and a 680+ credit score.

Can I secure more than one territory?

Yes. Area Development Agreements offer tiered fee reductions and phased development schedules for qualified investors.

Do I receive a protected territory?

Yes. Each franchisee receives a defined geographic territory, detailed in the FDD.

What type of space do I need?

Inline retail or end-cap sites with strong daytime and evening traffic. Our real estate team confirms the right size for each market.

How many employees do I need?

A studio manager plus a team of certified BODY20 coaches.

What training is provided?

Owner training on opening and scaling a studio, manager training on sales and member retention, and BODY20 coach certification for every coach, plus a monthly owners call, sales and operations check-ins, and webinars.

What software do you use?

An integrated booking, CRM and POS platform, with vendor rates pre-negotiated nationally.

How do studios generate revenue?

Recurring memberships and session packs, plus the Six-Week Transformation program and Tone classes. Single sessions, retail and corporate wellness add incremental revenue.

Can I finance the EMS equipment?

Yes. Approved lenders offer a range of terms, or you can join our equipment rental program.

How long from signing to opening?

Typically 6 to 9 months, covering site selection, permitting and build-out, training and presale, then grand opening.

How much can I make?

Any financial performance representations are contained solely in Item 19 of the FDD. We do not discuss earnings outside that document, in compliance with franchise law.

Can I sell my studio later?

Yes. You may transfer ownership to a qualified, approved buyer.

What are the next steps?

Submit the inquiry form, attend a 15-minute intro call, review the FDD (14-day minimum), visit Discovery Day, then sign your franchise agreement and secure your territory.

About EMS training

What is EMS?

EMS (electro muscle stimulation) sends gentle electrical impulses through a wireless suit to help muscles contract more fully during each movement. The coach controls the intensity throughout the session.

Is EMS safe for everyone?

EMS training is suitable for most healthy adults when guided by a certified coach. It isn't recommended during pregnancy or for people with certain conditions, such as implanted electronic devices like pacemakers. Every new member completes a health screening before their first session.

How often do members train?

Most members train once or twice a week, with rest days between sessions so muscles can recover.
